Biblical Counseling can really better be described as “intense discipleship”. It’s listening (Proverbs 13.18), determining the root issue(s) and applying God’s Word to it. It’s then that the (small “c”) counselor steps aside to the (capital “C”) Wonderful Counselor (Isaiah 9.6). As we apply God’s Word to our lives, He then begins to bring peace to our hurt or struggle (1 Peter 1.3). We believe God’s Word is sufficient (2 Peter 1.3) to address our needs and it is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3.16).
We offer in-person sessions as well as virtual (phone and/or video conversations) meetings. Sessions typically last 45 minutes to an hour and are given at no cost to the counsel-ee(s).
